Re Modification to silencer

Hi Folks
some time ago I remember seeing photos and instructions on a modification to the standard silencer i.e. the guy dismantled it and cut out part of the internal pipe. Now I cannot find this thread any one point me in the right direction please.

Just throw the silencer in a corner of the garage and fit a stub pipe to the cat.

Geoff Deacon did the mod but didn't like the result. Send him a PM, I'm sure he will be happy to tell you the in's and outs of it. Geoff runs the Leicestershire Police bike workshop so knows what he's talking about

I can`t remember the link, but i did the mod on my old pipe and found the sound was vary rappy as the exhaust gas`s hit the back plate??.

Thanks for the offer I may taske you up on it . I live in Gloucester but we come up mto Leicester every so often visiting our son who lives by Leicester Forest East. Next time we are up I will drop you a line a few days beforehand .
