re: replace my f800gs with a k1300s or k1300r

hi
i am considering replacing my f800gs with a k1300s or k1300r.
i already have a r1200gs adventure which will keep.
i originally bought the f800gs to commute on, after i though that the 1200gs was too big for everyday.
but i got used to it and whenever i am on the 800 i wish i was on the 1200.

i was thinking that a k bike would be a very good compliment to my r1200.
what is your opinion on this please?

also would a k1300s be good for traffic filtering and rides with a pillion?
i have never bought second hand before, but i am not in a position to afford new at the moment, do you know of good bikes at bmw motorrad dealers?
are all these bikes listed as approved used on the bmw website?

thank you.

It may be off the radar, what about a K1200R Sport ?

It has the brutal acceleration and agility of the R, with the comfort of the S.

The half fairing makes it a realistic sport tourer, and you have many luggage options including the genuine BMW sport clamshell panniers.

Mrs Chopps traded her VFR800 VTEC for an F800ST, which was a huge disappointment.
The F800ST was traded for the K1200R Sport, which is huge fun.

I had a 2009 K1300S from new, it was a fantastic bike and I did something like 15,000 miles on it.

I part exchanged it for an RT, which was a major mistake, now swapped that for a Multistrada which is awesome.

The K was a brilliant bike, which I did everything I wanted but I found it hard on my wrists and Mrs was not comfortable as pillion.

he K1300s is a ballistic machine ..i love them .. had two. get a low mileage clean one with history and you won't go wrong. The balck red and grey colour scheme seems to be the one to have … very comfortable two up bike that does good MPG and you will fly through traffic on it

I have had the K1200R Sport now for a couple of years. It is surprisingly comfortable for both rider and pillion (previous bike R1200 GS hexhead), averages high 40s to the gallon and is extremely stable. It is as fast as you could want in any gear and it looks great. Not many around either so you won't have that GS anonymity. Better weather protection than the R and more comfortable than the S. It is the best bike I have ever had and I intend to keep it for the next few years. Highly recommended.
