Wanted Wanted K1200s/K1300s ( Or something else if interesting!!!)

Hi folks, having sold my 1050 Sprint and my Scrambler, I think I am after a K1200s/K1300s, I have around the 3k mark to play with and I know this can get me a tidy 12 or slightly higher miled/used 13. I have seen a few at dealers on the net, but casting my search out to the forum. I should have bought the orange one @Runnerboy was selling when I had the chance!

The flip side of that is, I am actively looking for something that might tick a box for a while, I also dont know what that box is, before I looked at the 12/1300s, I also looked at another RT, a Bonneville, an LT, a Honda Monkey, a blackbird and a super dream.........I am well that is a mental approach to this.

I am near Glasgow but dont mind a bit of a journey, however not like Cornwall or Norfolk please.

If you have a clean 12/13 or something a bit "interesting" youd like to see go to a good home sitting can you drop me a message.
 
only the 2500 over budget.........A monkey would be excellent, but I am not a YouTuber or a young man, getting one back from Wales would be a ball ache I imagine @EKIMYRF
 
I joined this forum in 2009 when I got my Tesco 1150GS, I would also be interested in an 1150 if anyones got one thats noice....

Weirdly, an ex colleague of mine has just advertised this. Ian is a top guy and proper petrol head who likes things to be ‘right’. On facebook marketplace.

A good friend of mine is selling his bikes due to ill health..A BMW 1150 GS is in the adjacent FS section, and here is his Blackbird that he has owned from new..Not ridden for about 2 years.

Consequently there was a brake issue, which fortunately wasn’t a big problem, dragging disc’s due to sitting idle; the bike was removed to our local bike shop, the callipers and pistons removed, serviced and lubricated, and given a fresh new MOT so good to go..👍

I don’t know a lot about Blackbirds, but this is a beauty..😍

He is looking for £3,500 ono.

Another of Ray’s bikes, and IMO a right corker..It’s had a new chain and sprockets, brakes fettled with new seals, a new battery, and new tyres, to be ready for the Spring 2025 riding season; which I thought for him might not happen, but it kept him happy..The bike starts and could be ridden away..

He’s owned the bike for 16 years and he knew it’s first owner, the bike was purchased from Stockport Motorcycles, a U.K. bike but has a kilometre speedo..🤔

He is looking for circa £3,000.


*I’ve cut and pasted this if you or anyone else is interested from an old advert do a search for full details..However now a sensible offer might surprise you, typically Ray who knows this bike intimately has gone over it with a fine tooth comb for the new season and since the original ad has replaced the front wheel bearing..Again IMO one of the best examples about..

Oh wow, this has made the list, I really dont have 3500 though. I will do some research and look down the back of the couch, how "in Wales" are you or is it?
 
Having now seen a local K1300s, unfortunately anything “weight” forward seems out due to the elbows. I’m clutching at my youth and dream. Silly.

Something upright beckons.

Now that IS a properly interesting bike - woiuld love to have owned one of those.
