rear brake caliper

BMW 1150GS ´adventure´ 2003

is it possible to remove the rear brake caliper hanger....the aluminium bit that the 2 pins locate in to let the caliper slide on?

i see the rear pin has a hex on it, the other is baffeling me, please advise.

Yes, took mine apart last night to lube evrything up when fitting new rear pads.

If I understand what you're talking about... Just pull them apart. There is no unscrewing anything. Oddly its only the rubber boots that provide resistance when seperating.
