Rear brake lever

Is it possible to adjust the position of the rear brake lever?

I've fitted new pads but would like to touch the pedal and have instant brakes!

I want to get rid of some of the free play.

If it can be done, how?

You need to lengthen the threaded actuating rod at the back of the lever, and shorten the return stop screw at the front. I think the rear pivot is held by a spring clip.
