Rear brake locking, no abs Gs

I Am currently in the gorges/ Provence france,
The rear brake allways felt really keen and abs kicked in if heavy braking feeding in with fronts occasionally,or at slow speed coming to a stop, which was different but got used to it
Now it just locks , no abs or warning light,
It's a basic spec bike, abs not turned off, never had abs kick in much on previous bikes, and found the rear locking without any indication to be a change,
And had me thinking is the whole system inactive,
Not immediately concerned as it can be managed ,
just wondered if there were any other experiences out there
Am I missing something, there is no enduro option it's a 15 my,

If you've never practised cadence braking now may be a good time to start.

Take it easy, arriving a minute later is better than going to hospital or worse.

I had something similar last year. It turned out my rear pads had totally worn through and they and the disc needed replacing. I had only done about 4,500 miles from new.

Thanks packer, that did help, the fronts are capable it just surprised me for a moment, I allways leave a little room for comfort,
Not that it has the feature it's like enduro pro mode,,
I have tried switching abs on off its still the same,
I only cover the rear brake as the front does most of it for me and used to non abs and feeding a hit of back brake in,

The rear pads are ok, it's allways been a bit on the sharp side,, just can't see why the abs isn't stopping it locking,, as it has done up to now.??
It won't spoil the trip, just wondered if it's happened before,,

I was convinced the system was ignoring the rear brake,,
So did a battery disconnect,, all is back to normal??
Seems to cure a lot of issues these days,,,
