Rear Brake Pads

Just priced up BMW rear pads at £47.30

Sherlock sell Ferodo ones for £14.00 any good? or what does others use/obtain them from.

Try EBC HH from Nippy Normans. Been using them for a couple of years on the GS and numerous other bikes before. Always been happy with them.

I was quoted €75 for the same pads from my BMW dealer 2 months ago.

I ended up getting EBC sintered ones.

Just back from the Pyrenees and think the EBC pads are noticeably better than the BMW ones. Could be just my imagination though….but I am very happy with them anyway.


Only thing is, if you change to EBC sintered it is recommended that all three pad sets on the bike should be the same.

Another thumbs up for EBC HH Sintered. I got mine from a guy off eBay, they are better than the original BWM organic pads both for bite and wear resistance.

I use whatever is cheap on eBay, normally Gold make. They all seem to work and none of them last very long, BMW ones included

Something wrong their. I just paid £28:10 for a set of rear pads for my 08GSA. BMW OE of course

dont get goldfren, feckin shite, had that many complaints i wont sell em anymore.

If you go for non sintered rears, both EBC and Ferodo work at least as well as BMW OEM and are much cheaper. Still don't last very long though.

Just got two sets of front pads from Steptoe from this very site £39 I am sure he can do rear ones to.

... I've used pads from Steptoe, Ferodos IIRC, equal stopping power to OEMs but twice the life.

Thanks for all the replies, set ordered, now back to cleaning 17 days of european grime, tar etc from the bike.

Umm think I know that dealer - he charged me €90 (ex. labour to fit) the first and last time I had him service the bike!
