right nothing to do with the rear end, but had to get your attention some how :)

1, under the seat, but between the under tray, on my 1150GSA there is a conector block that has nothing connected to it. what is it for?

2, got a givi top box, has any one fitted the extra brake lights that fit in it?

thanks
wez

The connector block you mention is, I believe, where the dealer plugs in their diagnostic computer.

I had a Givi box with the brake lights in. They only worked for a few months til one of the contact pins on the bottom broke and it wouldn't submit to bodging.

I think

its where the charcoal sensor or someat plugs in for the American spec bikes

Fancy a run out on Saturday from Rainbow? - they have a GS day planned.
8.15 from the dealer with a full fuel tank
Sherpa ;)

thanks for the info.

i would like to join you on the ride out, but i work weekend nights, i'll be just in a nice deep sleep when you set off. have a good one anyway.

Sherpa got it...it's the charcoal cannister connection........US spec only.
The wiring seems to be useless to us as well....no current there (I had a god old poke at it when I was looking for a live feed towards the back end a while ago :( )

Be careful with trying to wire any lights to the Givi box......assuming your adv has evo brakes, you can fool the system into thinking there's a fault if you mess with the brake light feed.

I didn't bother with my Givi for that reason.....you could probably get away with it by using some LEDs and some electickery gubbins though......
