And when you take your wheel off and 'look see' at your flange, will you be able to tell an old 'suspect' flange from an updated 'everything is fine, put your wheel back on' flange?
Easy Peasy to find out, stick a magnet on flange no stick its ally stick its steel.

Mines is 2010 30yr. Anniversary GSA model and is fitted with a steel flange. No recall for my bike.
Do you have a magnet?
One of the best practical solutions I've seen on here.
BTW, had mine done last month at Williams, Manchester. Two cups of coffee and it was done.
Got a recall notice for my 30yr Anniversary GSA - November 2010
Also got one for my 2005 K1200S
Just got the second letter to contact my dealer... Looks like parts are available.

I have a March 2011 TC 1200 gsa and have just spoken to my local stealer about the recall (as I have heard nothing from BMW).
They checked the database and have told me my bike is too new and already has a updated flange fitted.
Bike was bought from stealer 1/12/14 and is still under warranty![]()
Does this sound right?
Does anybody have any piccies of old and new for a comparison please?
What does the newer one look like?
Will let the normal abuse begin....................
