Walking past Cardiff Castle last Saturday and saw a 1200GSA with what appeared to be rear folding sportsbike footpegs on the front engine bars. Couldn't really see how the pegs were attached to the bars but some sort of clamp/bracket as apposed to being drilled (but I could be and probably am wrong).
Have been trying to come up with a way of resting my legs when doing long distances and this appeared to be a cracking solution. Had seen some extention to the bars on a set of 1150 Adventure bars years ago but I have H&B bars so no (obvious) easy way of doing it as they wrap around the pots.
Is the 1200 rider a Tosser on here and if so please illuminate us tired legged GSers to your wonderous idea. If not, anyone else got an idea of how to do this.

Thanks in advance

I guess so but not so...err...:ymca

From the quick view I got of them they looked fairly slim which made me think they were rear folding pegs from a sports bike. Just wish I knew how he'd fitted them to his engine bars cos I've now found the spot on my H&B bars that I can place my legs without get the troosers burnt from the engine pots.
Just wish he was a Tosser on here and had read this thread and put me out of my misery.

They will help with long distance comfort but just beware Plod may pull you for 'Failure To Be In Control' if they see you.
I got nabbed for the above a few years ago..on the basis that my feet were not at the bike`s controls.
(ie, brake and gears).

I guess you'd have to be bloody minded or having a bad day to do that but I guess there are those types out there ( probably N. Wales :augie ). Bummer to be done on that basis  Fair point though but I was/would only use them on long monotonous rides e.g. motorways.
