It's a fair comment, but I'd love to hear a defence of that Powerbronze catastrophy.

To be fair a hugger mounted off the trans is unlikely to look cute. However, what most would prefer, I think, is a more effectively shaped rear mudguard i.e. there, but not in your face. Agreed?

Check out the 'crud catcher' thread, much cheaper option at £30 doesn't look obtrusive when fitted but does work keeping the shit off the rear shock and your trousers.
To stop chips on your frame I'm using silver vinyl same colour as the frame, I'm making them for friends. If there is anyone interested I would consider selling a frame set for £7.50

But not that much cheaper than the carbon Ilmberger, and I don't like the supports in a different colour/material

Looks good to me - blends in with the rest of the rear of the bike
