Rear led indicator

The led has gone out on one of rear indicators, I have a new replacement, took screw out and wire has no give at all, do I access plug from under rear light or does rear rack have to come off and go in from top. Dont want to waste hours looking in wrong place!

The rear light and part of the rear mudguard drops down after you remove a few screws. After that you can get into the connections. From underneath look up and you will see the screws I am on about, I think it's 4 but it has been a while.

While you are in there you may as well try to clean the rear of the back light a bit, you won't believe how much crud builds up in there.
