Being the one who sits on the back I thought I'd take an interest this year in how it's all packed... or the truth being that he's changing his mind so much I thought I'd seek a solution... (end result = I get to pack more stuff than he wants me to!)
Scenario 1:
Givi type box at end full of camping stuff except one inflatable mat thing which has to go elsewhere BUT he doesn;t want it exposed to elements (rain) or get nicked. Is there some sort of small toploading bag (drybags?) that are designed to go on the rear bags.... but then how can it be theft proof (nicked off bike) when we go for stroll....? How do you attach bags to givi box (slippery and not many fastening points - no drilling allowed says he)... is there some sort of sticky secure things that will do job - then again stuff can still be nicked? Also need bag not too big to go on top of box for this mat and his clothes...
Scenario 2:
Don;t take givi type box and take olbert (forgotten name!!) - round waterproof bag which will be secured with straps and a pac-safe chain thing. This would fit all camping stuff in but then we would need bag scenario as above with clothes - pacsafe chain not big enough now to go over both. Same problem as before regarding security and strapping it on so to speak!
any advice, links to equipment and ideally photos of your rear end!!
