I am looking to get a rear mudguard/wheel fender thing for my 2012 Sertao. I don't know the actual name but they fit them to the larger GS's and I understand in parts of Europe they are fitted as standard. Any advice greatly appreciated

You do know that the only reason they're fitted is to satisfy TÜV rear impact height regulations. The only thing that they do, in practice, is to direct, a jet of cold dirty water at the back of your leg from ankle to thigh which is why lots of people, me included, bin them. Something like this is more effective at preventing muck from the rear wheel from plastering your back - http://www.nippynormans.com/product...g650gs-f650twin700gs800gs-f800r-wun-27750-000

Hi Schtum
Many thanks for the advice as I was aiming to get one based on the look not practicality of use. I will purchase the mudguard/plate extender instead, many thanks
