I tried to adjust rear preload today and noticed knob was stiff to turn and then started spinning and no longer applies any pressure to the spring :( every so often it does seem to screw in a clcik but then spins again, Its an OEM shock, non ESA.

is it possible to fix this and are parts available ? or is it a bin and replace with Wilbers/Ohlins/WP whatever?

typically bike is 2 weeks past its 3rd birthday, i had extended the warranty for 3rd year but didn't bother for 4th

If it anything like the 1150 one undo the bolt through the top and make sure that it is seated on the flats of the shaft propery of that the plastic web is not damaged

tnx but knob is solid on shaft but shaft doesnt seem to be threaded onto anything inside the shock, it feels like it'll turn but then slips as pressure goes on. Just removed shock and there isnt even a threaded section so i can remove hydraulic and put a collar and nut on to get some preload applied. Oh well trip north tomorrow fully loaded and it'll be like riding a chopper :)
