Rear reflective stickers on panniers - legal?

I very much doubt that the average copper would be any better at interpreting the regulations. In the overall spectrum of crime any offence of this nature must be right up there with "walking on the cracks in the pavement", or "looking shifty".

Leave em on, I say (whatever floats your boat - I prefer the stealth look and I'm still here....)

Thanks for that.......I think I will :):)

Well, I am going to leave them on because they're so well stuck! However, I'm going to cover them with red reflective tape following the handy hint I was pm'ed about Moglo reflective stickers.

Gentlemen, a solution to my problem has been found, courtesy of this great forum.
Thanks to all for their input.

Who's following anything? :nenau

Personally, I would have left the reflective strips on whether they were white, red any other colour (even Pink, 'cos Rosie would be a happy bunny then )

White reflectives on the back of a truck or tanker?
You sure? :nenau

have stuff delivered every day with UK reg units and vast majority have a white square outline on the back of the trailer, occasionally see few tankers with white chequer decals round the circumference of the tank end

Just a guess but I would imagine they don't fall within these regs.....I really can't be bothered to look it up, but they are probably under the width that brings them into the regs, or not as reflective (it's all done to ISO standards) as they need to be to come under them, or something :nenau

I rather doubt that big haulage firms would risk running fleets with illegal stuff on the back, given the insurance implications and potential fines.

What about showing a reversing light when the vehicle's stationary? :trippy

oh well had better tell nearly all the trucks and tankers to remove the white reflectors off the back then or they " might " get nicked....
