Hi all.
I really hope someone can give a little reassurance here. I've just bought a 2005 GS with 65k, but is in mint condition. I've been trying to set the ride up, but on turning the adjuster screw I think it snapped!! (It was tight so wd40'd it first).
It now no longer goes in or out, just turns.
Is the shock now shot, or is it still usable?

Are on about the rebound adjustment screw at the base of the rear shock?
It turns almost three full turns from full in to full out. <-S---H->.
This adjusts the rebound damping only, standard setting is one and a half turns out from fully in. In is clockwise.
You need to turn this in (H) to increase the rebound damping whenever you increase the pre-load when carrying passengers or luggage.:flag

Thanks for the replies. Yes its the H<>S screw, but i think its damaged as when i turn it (either way) it doesnt go in or out!!

If still the orginal ones, your shocks are in dire need of replacement anyway. So this may be a good thing..
