Rear shock blown it's seal

Thank god for the extended warranty. 06 adventure and spotted oil all over left pannier last night.
It's coming from rear shock. Went to the dealer tonight and was asked what mileage I've done. 29.680 I said. Lucky you I was told as it's only covered up to 30.000 miles.
Saved me a good few hundred quid.
Very relieved.
