My very own recording studio! (South Wales).
I'm looking into a winter project for the mechanically compromised so I am thinking about getting the sub frame off. From stuff I've seen on here it's just a case of start unbolting from the back and make copious notes on what goes where. My main concern is getting the swing arm off and back on, how difficult is it? Any special tool or gaskets etc required? Thanks.

Haynes manual has a pretty good guide to subframe removal. If you watch the clutch replacement vid on youtube it shows you some of the steps to split the bike. Stripping the subframe will be a little more involved as you have footpegs and stands to remove. Swingarm itself is pretty simple once fd and shock off. You will need to secure the bike as centrestand attached to subframe. Haynes goes through all this. Oh and there's a thread on here about clutch removal that sets out steps for subframe. It is a decent amount of work
