Rear Wheel Corrosion , Or Is It ?

The rear wheel on my GS , it's a dark blue anodised off an SE that seems to have grown a coating covering the flat par of the rim that feels like smooth sand paper .....

I've used all types of cleaners that will not budge it so have used a tin of Silvo Wadding that's doing the job , the part of the rim that's cleaned looks brand new and has no visible corrosion marks left in the finish .....

Has anyone had this done to there's , any ideas ....

get a clay bar from a car detailing shop - will take all the dirt off

Two days to clean it .....

No mate , it kept in the garage but if it was then sap would be everywhere ....

I only spay it on the alloy and engine/mechanical bits and this stuff appeared to have covered the flat parts of the rim and not the sides that touch the tire , you'd think someone had masked it up and sprayed it on , also there's none anywhere else on the bike .....

You could be right as I've got twin joined things and I go through loads of rear pads , I even checked the final drive fluid to see if any had leaked and sprayed on rim but it was full ......

Unless someone knows different .....

But I think you may be right ..................
