morning all,

have just replaced paralever and input/output drive bearings, used original shims but still have some play top to bottom. am i right in thinking it needs another shim to increase preload on taper bearing?

all on 96 1100 gs.

Recheck the pivot bolt's thightness first (5 to 7 newtonmetres on one side (+105Nm contra nut) and 150Nm on other side). On most cases it's the 5Nm one creating the slack.

play is definetely in drive bearings, you can feel movement with finger between brake disc and drive housing, have double checked paralevers'
