Hello to you all, I am new to this as only had my new 1200GS for a couple of months, and I have a question..

I purchased my GS at Oxford BMW who delivered my bike to Kent, because they gave me a great PX price on my ZZR. The bike now needs it 1st service, and Cooper at Tunbridge Wells have qouted be £210 plus vat, which seems a lot to me for a 1st service. I phoned up Oxford BMW who supplied the bike and they wanted £170 all in. Can someone give me an idea of a reasonable price for a 1st service.

Really like the bike and is so much easier to ride then the ZZR12

Had my first service done at Coopers two weeks ago. I paid a total of £48 for the cost of parts only. Had a K1200S for the day free of charge.
I did however buy the bike from them new and surprisingly the First service takes about 4 hours (so I was told). If you bought your bike elsewhere then maybe that's the best place to get the 1st service done as thier sales department subsidise the labour cost.

That sort of cost sounds like the second service, Dealer maybe getting mixed up. :augie

The first service is to simply change the oil and a few other bits. That would equate to around £50-£60-00, as you only pay for the labour. Mind you, the labour should be thrown in for free I think, considering the initial cost of the bike. :mmmm
