Took my 2013 GS LC back to dealer with clutch issue, which they say they can no longer resolve after having said bike for 6 weeks (clutch and other parts replaced). No offer of a replacment motorcycle or exchange or refund. (I just want bike fixed to be honest) Been intouch with BMW h'office. Still waiting. Kinda had enough now. How much longer do I give them?
(if the dealer reads this, then I think you're doing a great job fwiw)

You need to take this up with the dealer, your contract is with them and there's with BMW.

I suggest you send than an email or letter to official reject the bike, if the bike is as you say there is light at the end of the tunnel, be patient and ask to speak to the dealer principle.

My bike was replaced by BM after 8 months and 5000 miles ( clutch issue ) . Dealer was fantastic , new bike arriving Tue.
I did speak and emailed BMW UK , for the record but the legwork was done by the dealer .
The clutch issue is a fault recognised by BMW and a solution will come out at some point.
I am puzzled why your dealer doesn't help you :nenau

The dealer will not offer it, you will have to formally reject the bike. Speak with the dealer principle in the first place (be civil as you will need their help though out the process), you will also need to write a letter to the dealership that outlines your reason for rejecting the bike (number of fixes and length of time without the bike), there are plenty of examples on the internet but I modified this one LINKY. Take a firm but civil approach and expect to pay a small amount, I ended up with a new bike but some have had a new engine.

OP, didn't you buy your bike secondhand with 700 miles on the clock?

Whilst I assume that the original manufacturer's warranty still applies as it's a 2013 bike, I guess you are talking to:

(a) A BMW dealer, not a non-franchise secondhand bike dealership?

(b) The dealership you bought the bike through?

Thanks for the replies. Made some progress yesterday at the BMW dealership. They've one week to resolve or come up with an alternative solution, like either exchange, replacement engine/gearbox. Slightly encouraging to know I'm not the only person with this issue. Much appreciated.
