Hi All, just had a few problems with my ABS, (on another post) but whilst in at BMW, they noticed that my bike needed a couple of dealer recall modifications and I wanted to tell you guys incase you need them too.

They might not be the most important mods but there were two:

1. replacement of a coding plug relay (61.36.8.366.282). Apparently improves idle (not noticable for me)

2. insert of a grommet (46.63.1.451.277) and reinforcement (46.63.1.451.278) to prevent the speedo cable wearing through the brake cable. unlikely I know...

All free and the best bit is: the time allocated to the fitting of these mods is more than they actually need so if you have any other jobs that need doing, you should get a discount.. Worked for me, an hours work for 11GBP? Not bad!

Hope this helps...

This problem was first identified on this board in 2000 when a Bristol-based tosser had front brake failure due to the speedo drive wearing through a metal brake pipe!
