Er...Care in the Community volunteers ??
..who were released too early??

Released volunteers?

And if they are recalling 80,000, what about the other (approx) 1,420,000 'volunteers' - why are they not being recalled ?

Is this a man with a grudge against Bmw? Or are we being warned. Having ridden bikes for 30 years, including Police and mostly on BMW 's the only residual i have had was shitting myself when i applied brakes too hard on me Triumph and lost it at a roundabout. Not ferkin funny when in full uniform!! :D

He's been peddling this crup in more usernames than you've had cups of tea down the station, on every forum across the globe, for years. My dealer tells me that he's known to BM as a muppet that played around with his bike and shagged it up, and has been stirring ever since. Certainly seems like it.

I wonder how reliable the dealers claim is about him messing around with the bike and causing problems? It would be interesting to find out.

Hi,

according to recent reports in German GS fora there have been new ABS failures on MST with 12GS. This bike wasn't recalled yet to get the new hollow bolt. According to reports in German GS fora there have been also new occurrences of blocking brakes on 12GS, they do assume it's a fault with the ABS-unit.

Meanwhile the German Federal Prosecutor engaged an independent technical expert to examine the BMW Integrated Brakes. This information is confirmed.

The prosecutor will bring that case to court if there is enough evidence to prove "causing injury through negligence".

Oh Christ - he's run out of inventions with the 1150 range, so now he's moved onto the 1200. Give us frikkin strength.

brake failure

Brakes failed on R1200GS on the way home from work last Thurs. Not amused. Just as well I wasn,t on the motorway!!

But the R1200GS residuals are significantly strengthened compared to the R1150 residual brakes. They fixed the residuals in 2004 starting with the production of the 12GS.

BTW: The new Continental Teves Brakes are definitly NOT power assisted. They will replace the BMW Integrated Brakes in August (?) 2006 and all the critique with the obsolete Integrated Brakes will be adressed according to a BMW spokesman in March 2005.

Use Google Translation for a full view of the German press on the obsolete system, a history of ignorance and arrogance:
