Not intentionally wanting to put another downer on 1200 ownership but…. have you seen the recall story in MCN? Apologies if someone's already posted, but i didn't spot any comments after a quick scan of recent threads.

No but I have seen the one on Visordown about Suzuki GSXR recalls.....

At least they recall them when they find an issue and get it fixed.

It's when a manufacturer doesn't recall and walks away from issues which would be a worry.

Just had my 10+ year old, 74,545 miler in for a service and they did the fuel thingy whatever it is recall.

Mine doesn't need the brake spider doing, because I figured at 8 years old it was so far out of warrranty there was no way it would get done, so I paid for a 2nd hand Mk2 part and did it myself.

I think honouring warranty and recall work on a bike that's over 10 years old is brilliant.

Me too, my 04 plate with only 60k was in North Oxford last Saturday having the recall work done, had not the good folk at Bmw not picked up the bill I would have been a good few hundred quid out of pocket.
