Do yous remember the good ould days in the 80's. Well according to reports they are on the way back:oonyack
We might get some depressing music with really good lyrics?
Magic mushrooms will be the drug of choice:o
Home brew will once again be the sign of affluence:eek:
Yamaha will relaunch the RD350Lc but it will have a diesel engine,:roll
Any of you guys got any good money savin techniques for the next 20 years:rob

all this talking the thing down has everyone worried about jobs and money and is making a bad time seem worse,
i work in a car dealership and it seems people are afraid to spend any money.
in the eighties (when i was a nipper):rob money was scarse but there was a little going on.
this year the people with 1 or 2 year old cars want to buy new ones but no one wants to buy any second hand car
the change in vrt and weak sterling are not helping but i think a lot of the people with money are just holding on to see what happens

I get a vibe that things will change and Mr Guns and Napalm leaves the whitehouse in July

Can't see it going any other way ??

What a "memory" to leave behind you "The President who nearly started world war III????????"

Get divorced? :nenau

Expensive shorter term, but should work out more cost effective in the long run.

I hope Mandy doesn't see this.

I will remain dignified and refrain from retribution at this stage. However I will say this "my memory is long and I never forget" :P

I remember the 80s well, when I paid huge tax and Charlie got handmade shirts and ate in the best restaurants - only the little people pay tax said Lenora Hemsley. Politicians get donations, dig outs, expenses for doing the job that they are already overpaid for - and it's everybody else fault that the country is going to the dogs.
Management without responsibility.

Buy an airhead, you'll ride slower, sip petrol and you can do your own servicing.
Buy a Skoda diesel, you'll drive just as quick, sip diesel and you can taxi at nights and weekends.
Sell the second and subsequent cars.
Tell the woman in your life to get her hair cut at the barber, a no. 3 all over that you can trim at home. Short greying hair is a new fashion statement, so the hair dye is unnecessary.
Buy a multifuel stove and switch off the central heating. Early to bed will keep both of you warm - but be careful that you don't generate another expense.
Share a shower.
Ride pillion.
Insure and tax only one bike.
Eat in, not out - no takeaways, unless you're using the Skoda to do the deliveries.
Drink in, not out - invite the neighbours to a bottle party.
No more crisps, pastries, icecreams or desserts - a plain Marie biscuit, banana or orange.
Black tea and coffee is better for you.
You'll soon be leaner, so you can wear an extra layer of clothing during the winter.
Get a job closer to home, don't join the rush hour.
Shop online.

If the "recession" leads to fewer people at airports whose only reason for being there is because "it's so cheeep", I will be very glad, because I think the low-care flying thing is a madness. There is no tax collected on aviation fuel, surely one of the biggest bits of madness in a mad world.
Bin (going mad).
