Recode the BMW aluminium panniers?

Douse anyone know how to re code the aluminium panniers? Have just bought a pair second hand from eBay, have the key for them but want to use mine coz its easier,

Is this something I can do at home or do I need to take it to the dealer?
And if I can do it at home then how?

Have tried that but most of them are for other cases not the BMW ones I'll keep looking tho!

have you a key for the locks?if unclip all the catches then lock them,you will see a lock wafer inside the catch,push this in and pull out barrel,use the key you want to use in the bare barrel swapping the wafers arounduntil they are all flus with the barrel.push back in and bobs yer auntie

Have a look at this from adv rider, it's the BMW vario panniers but same lock barrels/ same method

My mate tried his 2008 gs key in my 2011 GSA panniers and it unlocked it. Might be worth trying your keys in the new panniers.

Well that's shit security.. Did his key work on ur bike?

if your shocked at that,try putting the plastic barrel tag in the lock and turning(only works if you have the old type long tags)

do a search about it on here then you will worry about security.
