Recommend bike hire for trip around europe mid-2011?

Hey guys,

Its been a while since I've posted, mainly because I've emmigrated to NZ

However, I've made friends with a couple who have been inspired by my trips into europe, and wish to come over next year and do a 5-6 week trip around europe. This is likely to start around france spain, include italy, alps, some eastern europe (one of the two is from Latvia), up into the arctic circle via finland and back down through norway.

While this is the plan, it is just a plan, and things can be changed to facilitate bike pick up (i.e. start from UK) first...


Any ideas of reputable cycle hire firms that could facilitate such a journey?

As for gs hire my mate has just payed for a 11day gsa(with boxes and gps hire @ a shade over 900pounds limited to 1500 miles .we are planning a 3000 mile trip in the 11 days which will cost another 400 pounds when he get's back. also no hire company's let you go into non e.u county's we did look at going to different country's start also.with no joy either
might be better to buy as they would looking a serious sum of wedge for 5-6 weeks. the exchange rate is never that good either between here and there.
where did you end up in nz as i'm from nz myself.......many moons ago

Hi Chris,

Phillip McCallen (ex road racer) motorcycles in Lisburn here in Northern Ireland has started to hire motorcycles which can include european touring. The Heff of this parish was teling me today that the full touring package can be arranged. They have a website (phillipmccallen.com) if you want to check it out-I just did and it looks good to me

Hi, I have rented from www.imtbike.com they are very good, bikes are in good condition. I have also used hispania-tours, see their rental section. The bike are great with both.
