The problem: I have an old house with a long but narrow lean-to garage which is now at capacity with tools junk and bikes..

I want to build a small garage/workshop behind the existing one on an an area which used to have a greenhouse. I am a bit limited by the fact the house is a listed building, so I need to get planning permission for even the smallest development. The space restricts me to about 5m x 3m. Just big enough to house a couple of bikes and a work bench.

It needs to look traditional, be sturdy and secure.

I have heard good things about Passmores timber garages, has anybody got any other recommendations or endorsements? I am happy to pay a little extra as long as it gets me a better result.

Have a look at these people. http://www.olympiansheds.co.uk/ They were recommended to us and made a great job of Sues workshop. Just finished a smaller Sunroom/storage for a friend and he is very happy with it. They will make whatever you want not just standard sizes, shapes etc. From small lean-to to huge workshops. Lots of options and for quality good prices as well.

Ted,
I will check them out. Not too far away. Thanks.

Hi Steve
Beast sheds are good. I had one erected a couple of months ago. Price includes erection you just need to do the base.

I had a Passmores garage, it was great.

Got a local company to lay the concrete base and Passmores came and did the rest.

I made mine wider to give me a workshop and was very happy wit the service.

It's still going strong 15 years on.

Try Googling "Warwick Buildings". Proper wooden building rather than a standard big shed.:thumb2
