Thinking of going over next weekend on the Bike...going out on the Saturday morning on the chunnel and returning on Monday...so can't venture too far...any suggestions?

Facing south, to your left you have Belgium and Luxembourg. The Somme River, WWI battle fields etc. etc.
Still facing south, you have Reims, Troyes, Dijon. I don't think you will get much further south than Dijon.
