Hi guys,

I've got a pneumatic orbital polisher but I need something fairly beefy in an electric or re-chargeable format so that I don't have to lug the compressor around.

I would prefer a right angle type as those two-handed car type jobbies are a lot more cumbersome to use up a ladder etc.

It's mainly for cutting back and polishing glass fibre with Faracla etc.

Nip down to the local marina or lifeboat station and see what they use Steve...or mebbe a quick call to the local boatbuilder's ?

I'm sure a suitably qualified tosser will find this eventually but for the sake of a two minute call to someone who uses them professionally :nenau

But then, you already knew that didn't you :D

I don't know much about them, but I wouldn't buy one from Amazon.globe. I've not heard very good things about them.

We use a Bosch 240v sander/polisher, looks just like a large grinder but has a variable speed upto 3000rpm where as a normal grinder runs at about 6000rpm. For polishing we normally run big bertha at around 1000rpm.
Try looking at : www.axminster.co.uk

Be very careful if you buy one on line, many come without chargers or even in some cases without batteries.

Good luck

I think it may be sorted, BHT can buy me one so as I can polish his yacht ;)
