Try Motorworks. I got a cast iron one off them about three years ago. It did give a noticeable difference over the original, though nothing fantastic. it did cost in the region of seventy five quid at the time. Just make sure you put it on the right way round; I didn't at first, it took me some time to figurer out why the caliper didn't fit back properly! :blast:blast

By the way, they look shite if they aren't used for a while...

How much it cost the original one?

£99 + delivery on motorworks.

I used to pay 49.50 for 40mm thick vented dinner plates on a 944T,

Don't see why a these piddley things should cost so much?

I used to supply them HERE at £70 a disc.

But got fed up with people moaning they're cheaper elsewhere. But when the cheap ones warped after a few weeks and they came back still wanting a lower price, i couldn't be fecked anymore.

Only for my use now.

I have your jobbies on the front which were a bargain price due to cosmetic marks. No signs of wear yet. I'd like something similar for the back:D

I take it then Steptoe has not one left in a dusty corner and nobody has any other sources?

At the rate people go through them i'd have thought we could find a good supplier?

I could've supplied as many as people needed.

But they'd rather go down the cheap route, which isn't cheap when they end up buying them twice as often.

I thought yours were cheaper than the 'cheap' ones anyway.

I take it you were having them made up?

don't suppose you could point me in the direction of a good one at a reasonable price?

Nick.

Well here's an option to consider :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-R1150R-RE...ryZ76120QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I just bought one from them.

£105 gets you a brand new disc, pads and caliper (althought that won't fit your 1100) Flog the caliper and you have a very cheap new OE disc and pads. :thumb

It's off an 1150 R but the parts are the same as 1150GS with Evo brakes. The discs are all the same.

Are the rear discs all the same?

Mine is a 99 R1100GS with ABS and brembo cals

£70?
Stop complaining, that's just half a tank of fuel at next years prices

I'd be happy to pay £70 for a decent disc.

It's not about money, I've just spent about £700 on service parts for the bike.

The value I question, don't see why they should cost £100 or more.
There's nothing to them.

Nin, couldn't see a price on the All Bike Engineering website for the BMW Disc, sent them a mail.

Discs

Where do these prices come from?, l;ast month I had two new discs and pads on my vauxhaul van in a dealers £45.00 each including pads! apparently they come as a set.
