a hiking/mountain biking GPS please?
It looks like I might need to buy myself a bicycle mounting GPS for my RTW trip, and it must be able to download/transfer numerous GPX files, containing the routes I intend to walk and ride.
This should, hopefully, allow me to concentrate on my riding and walking, in order that I don't end up wasting valuable time stopping to look at maps and/or getting lost.
If you have experience of these things, please let me know your thoughts? I've currently spotted the Satmap Active GPS, which you can purchase worldwide mapping - at a cost - but would like to find out if I need all the various maps, covering my journey, so that a download GPX trail will work or, will the route work whatever, as it's just sending the route to the satellite and being bounced back? Also, is the new Active 12 worth having over the Active 10?
The added benefit of owning this device is that I can also use it on my trail bike as well!
