Halvarssons Newman are my choice. Tend to wear them most of the year. The outlast lining does a reasonable job of regulating temperature, but always carry a pair of leather lightweight gloves for when hot and dry.
These were the same price as the BMW GS Dry Glove....I chose the GS gloves as they fit better. The BMW guy said they offer similar summer 'coolness' both with Gore Tex. Yet to try them out while riding, but I will be doing a dash from Istanbul to Igoumenitsa tomorrow with temps in mid-high 30's!
I have two pairs of BM pro summer gloves, one of which CW kindly changed when they leaked. Both pairs now leak fairly soon after it rains. I really want a pair that are actually WP
I like my apollos, had them for a few years now, but if the air temps are over 20degsC I usually find my hands are as wet as Jimmies in a childrens ward.
Rukka Apollo for me too, the odd day when the heat hits mid-twenties and above and I go back to old thin lightweight gloves, but the Apollo's are great for all other times.
Having arrived at North Oxford in a deluge of biblical proportions with my gs gloves saturated, I thought sod it I will treat my self to some decent waterproof lightweight gloves, "you will be wanting the Bmw two in one gloves sir"
The rain was so heavy today, cars stopping or driving really slowly, sploshing through a streams of standing water, I don't know if they let water in, or it simply ran down my sleeves into the gloves.
That's definitely not been my experience. I'v had mine since they first came out. They must have covered the best part of 20,000 miles - including a two-week tour of the Highlands in the p**sing rain and going all the way up the Dalton. I've never had wet hands and they're still as black as the day they were delivered.
The lining has now started to come away from the outer, making it tricky to get them off and on in the rain. Unfortunately the Rukka warranty on gloves is only two years.
