Me and Mrs Toad are thinking of heading off from Kesh on Sunday morning, and we need to be on the ferry from Belfast to Birkenhead on Monday morning.

So, where should we go in between? And where should we stay.

I'm not really interested in towns and cities, more interested in scenery, food and

Been looking through Tuned's excellent Ireland thread, but there's so much to choose from.

So, what do you reckon?

Head north, up through the Sperrins towards coleraine and then hug the worlds most spectacular coast road down to Larne and into Belfast. Plenty of hotels in Belfast close to the ferry terminal.

Yeah
From Kesh , Visit Enniskillen , then over to the South Coast of Donegal
and take a leisurely pace up the Coast. I think Tarka Has done a trip
report on the Journey , Though he came from the North.
The Lovely Donegal , Derry , And Antrim Coatline will Not dissapoint you.
You Could stay in one of the Wee Villages close to Belfast.
A really nice Jaunt.

+1, Sunday great day for the Antrim coast, Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede ropebridge, Torr Head, down through the glens, watch your speed though, traffic police have some good hiding holes.

OK, here's the plan......

Get off the ferry first thing Friday AM, and then visit the mighty Thunder.

Load up on tea, and then head for the coast road.

I'd like to get up to the Giant's Causeway, and quite fancy a look at the rope bridge thingy.

Then off the Kesh for a late afternoon arrival:beer:

Saturday rideout, and then

Sunday - Back with Aiden and off to the trials thingy.

Monday - Back on the Dun Laoghaire ferry @ 1330.

:bounce1

ah that makes sense now.. the coast road takes ages if you want to see all the good bits... allow about 45 mins for the rope bridge and an hour for the giants causeway.... plus the morning is a great time to see the place
