Any one recommend a B & B near Galway for a stop over on the way to Mizan head ?? preferably not in the town centre. Cheers

Many of the B&B are not an awful lot cheaper than hotels. I see a lot of bikers using Flannery’s Hotel on the east side of the city and The Clybaun Hotel on the west side both have surface car parking but it is off street.
There are plenty of B&Bs near Knocknacarra Cross (west side) again surface parking but very quiet areas relatively speaking.
Quite a few b&bs on college road ( east side) ., close enough to the city centre where you can park right up next to front and side doors. I hope that helps.
The Oranmore Lodge hotel would be another relatively safe bet great bus service to galway city near by and good bars and restaurant in Oranmore itself.
Safe trip

Cheers , 10 / 15 miles out of the city would be good , that's why i was thinking B&B

Have a look at the S/O hotel in Loughrea. The hotel is “fine”. Ain’t got no soul but would be an ideal stopover location

Or the Raheen Woods Hotel in Athenry is worthy of consideration too. The parking isn't "secure" but that didn't make a difference to a couple of us a few weeks ago.

Great grub, fine rooms and a well equipped leisure centre too.

Definitely agree with the above

By way of last recommendation, the B&B in the center of Kinvara I believe it is called the Kinvara B&B over the centra or londis or whatever it is a very fine B&B . Operated by the Burke family. Secure parking possible ( although entirely unnecessary) by request!

Seconded :thumb
Four of us stayed there last year after Leenane & it was very good - clean & quiet with parking outside the door
And then we had an excellent meal down the road in The Pier Inn

You mean the Pier Head! Jochen. Mike runs the Pier Head, his brother John the supermarket, and the B&B. Great spot on the road to nowhere and every where

The Lady Gregory Hotel in gort is well worth a shout, plenty of parking and a few discreet corners to park out of the way 👌
