Hi,

I am in the process of 'adventurising' (if that is a thing) my recently acquired R80 G/S .. one of my first changes has been to fit the single seat and rack from Siebenrock to give me some more 'rackage' .. realise I may need to add to this but wanted at least the ability to carry a small Kreiga bag for 'day trips'.

Next step will be deciding on which soft luggage options to fit .. use will be 'long weekend' and I am a very lightweight camper so will not need enormous amounts of room but enough for tent, gear, sleeping bag etc plus a change or two.

All suggestions considerations welcome,

cheers

Andy

Mosko Moto reckless 80 every day of the week for me. (I did also use it on my g/s but don’t have pics)

What about a Lomo set for 10% of the Mosko price ?

I’m liking less is more these days with my Himmy coming and cheap new Oxford laminate gear

Farcanal! I paid half that just a few years ago.

Adventure Spec Magadans are good too.

Got mine in USA for $678 in 2020 so about £550 !

Magadans look good and 1/4 the Mosko price

Blimey the Reckless 80 has shot up in price - I think I paid £750 for mine and thought that was expensive !!!!

Thank you, All .. options I had not thought about, the Mosko does look spot on and it looks like the adjustability is good (differing volumes) .. I had a look at the Kreiga gear as well .. anyone have any experince?

#2 for the Blizzard saddle bags. I use the medium size, with a Kreiga bag on top and a tank bag for longer trips.

I’ve also used Mosko, excellent kit. The plus side with the Mosko is you can easily remove the bags, and the harness stays on the bike. With the Blizzard you have to take the whole thing off the bike. No biggie, but walking into a hotel with bags covered in crap requires a degree of stealth. The first thing I do is put them in the shower before opening them.

Going for Kriega OS on mine. Very flexible system, base stays on the bike and multiple bags to choose from, sizes between 6 & 38 litres. I reckon 12 or 18 litre per side would be the sweet spot for a week/long weekend away, £100/115 per side plus the harness). The bigger sizes are more susbtantial and priced accordingly, but nowhere near Mosko territory. A UK company too. As with most of the soft systems, any nearside pannier would probably need some protection/distance from the exhaust.

I have kreiga OS for the bigger GS… had them on 1200, then 1250.
Ace bags, well made, British company, good choice of sizes…….and cheaper than Moscomoto….

BTW .. which end can is that? .. and does it fit straight on to the standard collector and pipes?

I have Hepco hard panniers and the frames keep the soft panniers well clear of the exhaust. The AS Magadan mk 2 are better than the Mk3 I think - outside pockets that the 3rd incarnation don't have.C.348923305_1348357012695075_196012623890717208_nweb.jpg
