Recommendations to Replace Tourance EXP tyres?

+1 on the anakes just over 8000 mainly hard two up fully loaded miles. Would prob have got another 500 or so but got a puncture so decided to change :thumb2

7k out if the original rear Tourance on twin cam GSA, swapped again for same, ticked the list of most mentioned but have to say the original Tourance have been through some serious riding conditions not missed a beat never washed out and look right for the bike as well.

agreed, and reasonably priced. Picked a pair up for £150 a few months ago

I was unimpressed by the Bridgestone. Maxxis ok but not great on trad life. Tourance fine on road and shale tracks. All are rubbish on the slightest mud.
I fancy some Heineau K76 next time.
My GS doesn't really square off its tyres but a slight twitch from the back end is no big issue. My Yam 900 however was tank slappingly bad on squared off Conti Road Attacks. It was a booger for squaring any rear tyre.

+1 for the PR4's, can't really fault them wet or dry, only slight thing is they look a bit outta place on the bike, if you can live with that then I doubt you'll find better, on my second set now...

Forced into a pair of PR4s when Watling didn't have a rear to match the front Tourance (?) or whatever the 12GSA was supplied with despite saying on the phone that they did. As it was a last minute replacement before a European trip I, reluctantly, agreed to the fitting of the PR4s.

Whether the OEM tyres were as good and it is my riding ability to blame I can't say, but the PR4s transformed the wet weather handling of the bike and my riding confidance. I'm now happy to ride at close to my dry weather speeds in the wet. They are particularly surefooted on corners.
