Recommended restorers for work on a R1200C

My brother owns a R1200C cruiser. It is in need of some work. Mainly re chroming. Even to my untrained eye i recon this will involve a lot of work.

So my question is; Can you recommend someone that can do the this sort of work?

The bike is in Glasgow but he is prepared to take to wherever within Scotland.

that would be right up my street
however i am not at all local
that said transporting it to someone who knows the bikes wont cost a fortune,and the transport costs will be small fry compared to the cost of the cosmetic refurb

Dario, there was a bike workshop at the extreme end of Eastvale Place who recommended a Glasgow plating shop. Can't remember the details but the bloke was friendly and helpful, I was only in there to get a helicoil fittted to a bike, can't remember how we got onto the subject of chrome plating

Try John McGeachin in Old Kilpatrick. Although he specialises in restoring British classics he might at least know someone who can get the job done.

Thanks for the offer Mickeyboy but knowing my brother he would rather stay in Scotland.

Oldie i have given John a call. He seems like a very nice bloke. I have provisionally arranged to run the bike down to him come the better weather.

That's a shame he won't entertain letting it out of Scotland, I'd be very interested in quoting that job!
