Anybody attending/competing this weekend? It's looking like it's going to be pretty muddy going with all of the rain that's predicted. :bounce1

We are not going this year, work calls. Shame as I have only ever been when it is dry, a wet track would be very interesting. Hopefully Piers Dowell will show how its done. (No 48 in the picture above)

Yep will be there.
Should be very interesting if very wet:D

Went for a look today thinking there would be competitors to watch... only it doesn't start till Sunday :blast

The course looked pretty impressive and there were some cool old school trial bikes marking the course out for the trial event. Shame I can't be there tomorrow :(

Looks like good weather for them today thankfully although the ground has to still be pretty wet. We can usually see a dusty, grassy track from our house, I suspect it will be a dark and muddy streak by tonight!

There is normally a pre65 trial on on the Sunday, some folk ride the trial then do the Hill climb the next day.

Was the trial not on this year Mav?

Yep - it's on today. Would be great to watch :thumb2

anyone going better take their wellies.
Aparently was soo muddy today they ripped the towbar off a caravan trying to tow it out:eek:

Just popped over there. Some great old bikes. If anyone fancies it it's free today and £7 tomorrow.

It is very, very muddy and will only get worse tomorrow. There were a couple of lads in not so shiny trainers there this afternoon. :blast :D

He did make it look easy and very quick, but sadly no cigar today. Not as bad underfoot as i expected tho.
I hope the 650 Dakar and rider didnt suffer any damage in the carpark :augie, any one from here?

Thanks for the update, I shall be having a word about his performance. I guess old age is finally catching him up.
