REDUCTION IN THE DRINK DRIVE LIMIT

Pointless exercise until there are traffic cars out on the roads. Not much point having super BMW's at the station, get the bloody things on the roads.

Wish they would make it law for all cars and lorries to have BT phone kits.

You forgot to add licensing of air guns to the list of things they just have to do to prove they are a real government with P O W E R. How much police time and resources is going to have to be thrown at that particular piece of legislation? This is what happens when you give children the keys to the sweet shop. Wait till they get the power to push up our taxes. They will wank themselves silly.
 
I have a friend in the police and the general consensus from there is that this is total bollox, it's nothing but a political exercise and it will actually ruin more lives than those saved. People who are unfortunate enough to be even just slightly over the limit next day will lose their license and possibly even their job, lack of income coming into the home can result in property being re-possessed and families breaking up and this in turn could lead to depression and heavy drinking and so on.
These people aren't criminals and they do not go out with the intention of breaking any laws ffs!

Remember, our bodies have a natural alchocol content anyway so if for example you have 10% already in your bloodstream an additional 41% will take you over the limit...

However, the habitual heavy drinkers and drink drivers will continue to do so and it is these people who are the real problem as they just don't give a fuck whether there's a drink drive limit or not and they will continue to do so regardless.

So...who is going to gain out of all this?
