I am in the market for a new laptop. i really am not bothered about memory speed etc its just for surfing etc so anything arounf £300 is fine but i see quite a few are refurbished better models what do you think of them?

Being a bit cheeky here .

but i have a samsung Galaxy S mobile and have tried just about everything to find the drivers including the one's on the correct sites and i dowmload but to no avail. Driving me nuts. Has anyone got one to help?

Thanks

Dunno about the Galaxy but have you considered a netbook?
I'm using one now, Asus eee Pc, its got a claimed 7 hr battery life and is about right, before going on plane trips I've put films onto it via an external disk drive, I use a modem dongle for internet and you can buy the same for whatever country you are visiting, I've got 2 at the moment and not sure if I couldv'e just swaped over the sim card but they are small anyway so no big deal carrying them.

I think any netbook is worthwhile considering, you'd get a 12 month guarantee compared to a reconditioned notebook giving only giving 3 months.

If in London visit Tottenham Ct Road, obviously be armed with the information of what type you want and the lowest price youv'e found on the web, then just haggle.
