Regulated 12v plug

I have a piece of electronic equipment that I want to run on the bike. It comes with a standard cigarette lighter plug that has a built in 12v regulator drawing up to 2A - and therefore I assume the voltage is critical

Does anyone know of a DIN/BMW version (ISO 4165 I believe is the technical description)?

Failing that, if I pick up power from somewhere upstream of the battery will the CANBUS provide a regulated supply?

Yes, it would certainly be easier but am trying to keep the connectors to a minimum as it all has to fit into a confined space
