The clever chat Andreas Reh who built my 1350Gs is now tuning Wassers

Water Boxer tuning is ready! Ingredients
An akra
valve and a ecu programming.
I think that for the low effort a good score!
137 HP and 136 NM!

This could be a Hügel type thread, bring on the doubters.

Personally I like it, sounds realistic. Well done Andreas.

As it says in the translated thread surprising figures for very little effort.

I'm guessing that is @ rear wheel. Pretty hard to dyno crank output. I'd imagine that a standard WC will be something like 115bhp at the rear wheel right? If so those figures look good. How much ££££?:)
 
if the blue run is a standard LC its crank figures, ie. 127bhp, a base run will only show around 100-105BHP at the rear wheel on Geoffs Dyno after working his magic i think the best bikes where showing 122-123 RWHP ..mine was 114 RWHP as it was done from new
 
Was thinking it must be crank figures. As said previously LC pushes 125bhp standard so if graph shows around 135 at crank that's going to be 115-120 at back wheel.
If you need more bhp go buy a KTM!

The Euro figures will be in PS and not BHP so there is a slight difference
 
I am going to take my bike for a dyno-tune pretty soon to make the most of the full Akrapovic system. Will be interesting to see how the graphs compare, I suspect my bike will be less impressive as I live at altitude of about 1500 m above sea level.

The information at the bottom of the Rehcing graph indicate a max speed for the "pre Akra" bike to be 227 km/h. Is this a realistic max speed figure for the WC GS?
 
Looking at the graph again. The bike output before was a healthy 126.5 PS. The tune delivers approx 8% increase in PS so a realistic figure for the doubters even if the runs were a day apart. Same for the torque but the lines presents a different story. The feel of the engine will be much more responsive at low revs. I can't find a mention of cost to do this as the website refers to the Hexhead GS.

Standard the GS tops out at 135 to 142 indicated the two that I have ridden. The GSA is slower as expected but only by 5 mph. So that is in the ball park Marius. You might suffer a loss of power but you also have less denser air to push out of the way. At altitude is where forced induction engines comes into their own, you can expect a loss of around 15% at that altitude for a NA engine. It will be more on hot days of which you had plenty this past few months.

I took my bike for a dyno tune on Saturday for the first time to make to make the most of the full Akro system. The dyno showed that the engine was running to rich at 14.5 stoichmetric which was then reduced to 13.5. The bike now make 142 bhp at 7390 rpm and 145 Nm at 6481 rpm. This figure is of course representative of crankshaft power, corrected for atmospheric conditions i.e. sea level altitude and taking the ambient temperature into account.
 
That sounds great result. What are you using to tune the bike. Maps loaded directly on the ecu or 3rd party device like a power commander?
