Relay waterproofing?

I have mounted 2 relays just behind the top yoke, slightly under the tank on top of and to the right end of the foremost ecu holder, heat shrinked and vaselined the spades and they been there for years and 80k with no probs.:thumby:

I would have gone with a reasonable size project box and ordinary relay. Then others can be added when you fancy fitting more stuff. The big advantage is easy access especially if you use waterproof wiring connectors. Even the fused busbar could go in there, ready for the next project.

OK, just re-read OP (twice) and I have to ask why you need a relay for 10 watt spots (less than an amp). I may be stupid, not understanding canbus and the like, but there's no need for a relay to handle the current. :nenau

I thought the same about the low power but as canbus is alleged to be fussy think I would have also used a relay. But would not spend megabux on a fancy waterproof jobbie.
