Had a scary moment yesterday while riding from Bicester to Bristol.

I miscalculated my refuel stop, and ended up with only 2 miles remaining on the range countdown.:blast

Brimming the tank on refuel, she tool exactly 24ltrs, so the fuel gauge seems to be pretty accurate….which was lucky.:augie

On my GS LC on Wapping's recent Wander I managed 10kms after the "Range" went to zero before my bike came to a halt!!

Fuel capacity on my rt is 27 litres often went 40 miles past 0 range no need to panic!!!! JJH

Oh, I forgot to mention its a new 1200RTLC..:blast
I'm not sure (yes I should RTFM), but I think the tank on these only take 25ltrs.

BTW I ran my old 09 1200GSA dry, with 5 miles left on the countdown. ...:augie :blast

On my GS TC i know that i can get from home to Jedburgh (just under 200 miles) on a tank.
Problem was last time i trA68 was closed resulting in a 35 mile diversion with no fuel along the way The range said zero with 10 miles to go and i rolled into Jedburgh on fumes but made it !

Have done 30 miles with 0 range showing. Put 26 litres in. Old style RT though

Five miles showing zero on an 08 GSA then filled with just under 34 litres. Phew! But some folks have squeezed 36 litres into a dry tank so who knows.

PS just noticed this is the RT section. Oops. ;)

Tonight filled with just over 34 litre that had covered just under 340 miles. The poot was showing 35 miles to empty. Who knows what the GSA tank actually holds.
Shell V-Power by the way.
