Totally agree :thumb

Hold my F800GS at 50 mph it shows 105mpg (not even been remapped)

But why on earth would I want to be doing that :nenau

:beerjug:

I thought you were on holiday - you can't leave it alone can you....?:kissy2:kissy2

Any one had the remap for a while and care to comment on the benefits?

I'll be having mine done this weekend and just wanting to know what to expect in real world use.

Unless I am talking the bike to Europe, it will be using for both pottering about and a weekly quick lap or two of the TT course each weekend, which will hopefully benefit greatly for this tweak.

What tyres are you using ?

Tourance EXP on my MY08 and the new Triple black has trail attacks I think - but will be changed for something better, as soon as I have got some use out of them.

I'll possibly try the Bridgestones BT023's (but open to options), I've heard some good things and I tend to stick to the road for 99% of the time - I'd take a trail/enduro bike if I wanted to go off road.

Love the Roadsmart II for fast road work - way better than the TA ;)

Got to agree - Road Smarts & Road Smart 2 are great.

Mind you, to be fair to Conti, if you only want a road tyre, Road Attack2's are very good indeed.

Try the figures the other way round Mickey, constant 105 mph and see how much fuel it uses :D

Charts from my recent remap.

TwinCam with 6000miles

BHP

Before: 78.89 bhp @ 7955 RPM:

After 103.26 bhp @ 7310 RPM [+30.9%]

Torque

Before: 66.25 Ft/lbs @ 3710 RPM

After: 82.64 Ft/lbs @ 5978 RPM [+24.7%]

And it seems to be using less fuel too!!!!

Tom

Those graphs look fantastic. Less fuel use would be the icing on the cake.

Really looking forward to getting the bike back to the IOM & seeing how it handles/goes on the course.

With 30% more power at peak revs it should feel like a different bike. I look forward to your 'seat of the pants' review . I trust you'll be caning it ?

If I can trust my fuel gauge - I was up to 330 miles yesterday before I topped up, fuel gauge was not as low as it normaly would be, and I'm riding a little more enthusiastically too, not very scientific I know, but it does for me :)

Yes, I will be caning it - will have to see how the tyres hold up to fast road use - but judging by how quickly the old man has been able to ride his various GS's round here (sometimes on semi nobblies), I don't think I'll have too much of an issue!

That is a GSA though isn't it

Just spoken with Geoff about having my 56 plate 1200GS mapped. Offers a £10 discount (£350 instead of £360) to UKGSER's but if I can get 4 peeps together, its £330 each. I'll be number 1, anyone else interested, he has the 9th and the 11th next week free at the moment. I'll be travelling down from the Leeds York area if there is an opportunity or a convoy!

Reply here or PM me if interested?

Cheers
