Having mine done on the 4th I'm afraid - but I am sure you will get another 3 people interested.

We will probably have one of other GS's done later in the year, if it's as good as I expect it will be :)

Just spoken with Geoff about having my 56 plate 1200GS mapped. Offers a £10 discount (£350 instead of £360) to UKGSER's but if I can get 4 peeps together, its £330 each. I'll be number 1, anyone else interested, he has the 9th and the 11th next week free at the moment. I'll be travelling down from the Leeds York area if there is an opportunity or a convoy!

Reply here or PM me if interested?

Cheers

Smuzzy - very keen to get my RT done as well so count me in as long as I can get a slot on the 11th (that's A Saturday I believe?). Travelling from Newcastle so either an early start or a Friday night local?

Let me know

Ian

Right, I have 2 takers for a re-map on Saturday the 11th. One place free if there are any takers from the evening forum contingent.

As above, reply or PM me to grab the last place!

So... is that over 55mpg plus whatever is left in the tank? Sounds pretty good to me. I'd be happy with between 45-50mpg. M getting less than that from my MY08 GS.
Getting in to dodgy water here as I haven't done any accurate before fiqures let alone after, all I'll say is I'd have expected the fuel gauge to be lower than it was at 330 miles

If only, I have booked it in for Friday:blast

Hi...just sent PM...I'll have that last slot if still available.
Cheers

I see Hilltop are mentioned and recommended in this week's MCN letters page. All good. Really looking forward to having mine sorted this weekend.

No I will be ready to go for nine thirty.

And on the way back we'll return with better power delivery and economy

don't forget smoother.....

I have not had mine done yet......... took a ride down to Whitstable yesterday with Grizz and noticed that if I went over the 4500rpm mark the vibrations were really bad but worst of all was keeping a constant speed and using my two fingers resting on the brake lever to act as a speed control!
The jerkiness of the engine was very noticeable and downright irritating.... cannot wait to have this bike done and sorted.

Goose, used to have the same problems on my twin cam. The Hilltop remap cured it as well as making it a much better ride overall.

Really looking forward to seeing what this is like on my ride up North tomorrow afternoon. I doubt I'll be disappointed.

Let us know ASAP Wilsdorf - I'll be getting mine done the weekend after and will be riding straight back to Tyneside - hoping for great things!

I will do.

Should have a good couple of hours or so on the bike before the remap, and then another 2 or 3 hours ride to the hotel afterwards. So, I should have a good feel for any differences in roll on and smoothness at everyday speeds.

Then when I get it back over to the Isle of Man I'll give it a good few laps against a virtually identical bike without the remap. I'll even check acceleration in each gear between each bike - which should give a good indication, as we weigh roughly the same - i.e. heavy ;)

If the bike is fairly similar acceleration wise but smoother pick up and less vibration/flat spots etc. I'll be able to ride it a fair bit quicker anyway.

Hi do you not think there is something wrong with the bike to cause this?

Looking forward to that Ed............ jealous of you now :D

Of course there's something wrong....... but there are so many plasters being put on the bikes to try and sort each problem.
Through my previous issues with the 2009 GSA and research done - the root of the problems for me seems to point towards the A/F mixture settings and compliance with the EU-3 emission control...... once I get the remap done... it will probably solve a bunch of issues - THEN I'll look at throttle-bodies, TPS etc.

I have utmost faith in what Geoff's doing........ :thumb
