Thanks to Mr K who pointed out the article was published today
This has been a long time coming, but the outfit we built from scratch is off to the Nordkapp to raise money for Diabetes UK.
Gert was a truly fat bastard....weighing in at a respectable tosser sized 25 stone.......mainly because his diabetes was not remotely under control.
In the 18 months or so that I worked with him in the shed, it dropped off him, and it wasn't all down to stress watching me cut things up with the gas axe
We built THIS, also featured HERE:
Starting pretty much from scratch, we worked it out as we went, took advice, hacked and chopped, tested then hacked and chopped again.......and the fekker actually works and works REALLY WELL!
Gert is now off to the Nordkapp to raise money for DIABETES UK.....
ARTICLE IN COLCHESTER GAZETTE Yay the big time!!!
And, hold the front page, only the frigging Clacton Gazette too!!!

Gert is actually in hospital at the moment....he's had heart problems associated with his massive weight loss, but knowing him, he'll still do the trip even if it's in a wooden box strapped to the sidecar.
He's doing it with Fraulein Kattrin, his MUCH better half, and Rob, a terminal cancer bearing biker mate.
So go on, he's one of our own, stick a few quid in if you can......I'll be arranging to get regular updates from the trio as they go and will post them up here
Gert can look at a landrover and diagnose it from 30 feet, he can do pretty much anything on them, but frankly, he's not really shit hot on PC stuff, so his Just Giving page isn't as cool looking as it could be......but anyhoo, it's HERE
